I play very casually and generally solo. I am looking for any info on good equipment that is possible to get solo, say level 20ish and below. Particularly weapons. Not necessarily good in the bigger picture, but the best a solo person is going to be able to achieve w/o buying from the shop.

So far I only know of weapons like Hackan's tinsmith's hammer and others 2d6-ish. One exception, if it still loads was a 2d7 stone bladed hatchet off of a barbarian near tarsis.

Thanks for any info!

Get 3d5 and better weapon with 20- char?
Not sure ...
If you prefer to play solo, make ocean scout or similar char (with low eq-dependency), level (lev-30 is recommended Smile) and use it for poping eq

Not even 3d5, just something better than 2d6.

Good to hear I'm on the right track, I actually am an ocean Scout.

What is it about ocean scouts that gives them a low-eq dependency?

1. Thiefs' tactic (sneak/bite-swarm/fade-flee)
2. Rather fast hp restoring (camp skill + nice bandage)
3. fence (and riposte) skill

BTW - you can just buy some 2d6 weapons and ask high mage to enchant it Smile

I was told that a 3d5 'basket-handled sword' loads on the undead kender king under Hylo. He always has the sword, but it usually turns to dust when he dies. If it does load it must be rare. He can be taken out by a level 23+.

Curious, thanks for the post. Do you know the stats of any of those items.

Thanks,

- 3d6 axe in lemuria

- 3d5 great bone hook in bullywug

All not soloable at lev-20..25, but not so hard for mid-high group

I don't know if it's been changed, but I used to be able to solo Bullywug hag and get that hook, at around lvl 28.

There is a 3d5 (I think called bent pike) from a weapons rack in mound. You could get to it after killing the gully king. Only thing is it was -1 hitroll or -1 damroll I don't remember which. But the King could be solo'd by a ranger at lvl 25+.

One of the bosses of Dragonarmy Training Camp (forget the name), east of Kalaman loads a 2d8 bludgeion. Metal Rod or something. Also used to be solo-able by a ranger lvl 25+.

Where does 'large pole axe' load? It is one of the more common 3d5 weapons I can find in the shop.

1. Ice Reaver - if u have 21 str - 3d5
2. Ergothian hand and a half sword - if u lucky - 5d3
3. Chipped axe - 3d5, probably ++
4. Dwarven smasher, dwarven halberd etc. - Smasher 2d8 ++, Halberd 3d5

It would be great if any of you know where do these decent items load?
Quite magnificent actually, especially "Ergothian hand and a half sword and dwarven smasher"

Example will be leprechaun shillelagh, it's 3D5 blud with combat prowess.
Which load on Lorin. He is invisible. At kobold mines. (solace)

At the Forest Road, go 2nu,w all, 2n or 3n, look lorin. Lucky? U will get a four leaf clover (+hitroll or damroll) along 3D5 leprechaun shillelagh. Only for casters if I am not wrong. Lorin is soloable by 20s pala, mage and druid. You can try it out. Wink

Will be seeking for more information on DECENT soloable items!

Looking forward to know more decent items that is either soloable(By any Char) or loaded by 2 people. 25is

The zone is Dragon Army Outpost, yeah the one east of Kalaman right next to Pigmys. From ewu room go w instead of e.

here is the actual stat, though the zone is harder (or I'm weaker) than it used to be, and I haven't been able to solo it this wipe.

a large metal rod (lepiota, master mage of Dragonarmy outpost)
Object 'rod metal large'
Item Type: WEAPON
Mat Class: metal Material: steel
Weight : 11 Value : 40
Item is : MAGIC BLESS
Class : rod
Damage : 2D8
Rent: 240/40

Also these come from Falstaff manor, the revamped palanthas thane's mansion zone. http://arctic.blackfurnace.net/index.php?title=Falstaff_Manor .I'm not sure about soloing at lvl20-25, but with an ocean scout you can get them pretty easy at lvl 25+ solo.

a sharp bill (Julian, Falstaff manor, thanes mansion)(lore'd)(12/8/2006)
Object 'bill sharp gleaming pole'
Item Type: WEAPON
Mat Class: wood Material: vallenwood
Weight : 20 Value : 50
Affects : DAMROLL by 2
Class : ranseur (pole arm)
Damage : 3D5 (primary-able)
Rent: 60/60

a keen epee (knight trainer, falstaff manor, thanes mansion)(12/9/2006)
Object 'epee keen sword fine'
Item Type: WEAPON
Mat Class: metal Material: steel
Weight : 12 Value : 6
Class : rapier
Damage : 3D5 (probably offhand-able w/ enough str)
Rent: 120/60
